Information: JACKSON NATIVE TAKEN IN TEXAS - Daniel E. Smith, a native of Cottageville, died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Laredo, Texas on Januray 7, relatives here have been informed. He was 68 years of age and had been a hospital patient since November 26.  Funeral and burial services were held in San Antonio, Texas on January 9.  He was born at Cottageville in 1888, a son of David and Nancy Shinn Smith.  He is survived by two daughters and two sons who live in Texas.  He was a brother of the late D. E. Smith of Ripley.
