  <p>Information: JACKSON NATIVE TAKEN BY DEATH - Clyde Ernest Smith, 60, of Slate, W. Va., died late Monday evening at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born March 29, 1903 at Sandyville, the son of the late Barney and Ellen Smith.  He was a former employee of the American Viscose Plant, retiring in ?, due to ill health and had resided in the Slate community for 35 years.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lydia Weekley Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Ball of Elizabeth and Mrs. Wilber Hoffman of Rockport; one brother, Wick Smith, Sandyville; and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Maddox of Sandyville.  Six grandchildren also survive.</p>
