Information: Aaron Smith was born June 2, 1857 and departed this life April 13, 1934, age 76 years, 10 months and 11 days.  He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Little Barnett in 1883 and to this union five children were born as follows:  Oma Pritty of Bee, W. Va., Jamse Johnston of Bidwell, Ohio, Orval and Londus Smith of Rockcastle, W. Va. and Lucy Smith of Nitro, W. Va.  The two boys having preceded him in death.  Besides his own children he practically reared two other families of children, as follows:  Oscar, Verna, Okey, Laura and Dora Barnett, and Norma and Gerald Smith.  Besides the children he leaves to mourn their loss two brothers, Daniel Smith of Leon and Jim Smith of Ravenswood;  one sister, Minerva Hughes of Nat., twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.      He was converted and joined the Mt. Olive U. B. Church in 1897 and lived a faithful and devoted Christian life. He was a kind father, a good neighbor and a friend to everyone.  He will be missed in the home, in the Church and in the community at large.  But we firmly believe that our loss is heaven's gain and that he has gone to join his many loved ones who have preceded him to that heavenly home.
