A. and Madaline Casto Skidmore.  His wife, Dora Staats Skidmore, died December 31, 1938.  He is survived by three sons, Ray and Dwight Skidmore, both of Charleston, and Rolla Skidmore of Ripley; and five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ballard and Mrs. Emily Bibbee, both of Charleston, Mrs. Hazel Pullen of Flat Rock, Mrs. Juanita Rhodes of Fairplain, and Mrs. Elaine Buckalew of Dunbar; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Fairplain church with Rev. Vairl Winter officiating.  The Odd Fellows lodge conducted additional rites.  Burial was in the Shinn cemetery with the J. B. Vail mortuary in charge.
