Information: Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon in Roanoke, Virginia for Otto Carl Skeen, 43, a nephew of County Superintendent Rueben Perry Kiser and WIlliam Dennis Kiser of Ripley, who died in a hospital there last Thursday.  Skeen had been in the employ of Appalachian Electric Power Co. for more than twenty years and received his 20 year pin at a ceremony Saturday night preceding his death.  He was a son of the late Loren Skeen and Nora Kiser Skeen, and was reared in the Fletcher community and had many relatives in the county.  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Catherine Skeen; two sons, Clyde E. of Fieldale and Raymond of Roanoke; two daughters, Betty and Mrs. Gene Harroll, both of Fieldale; a half-brother, John Haynes of War and a half-sister, Mrs. Elmer (Mazie) Lawson of Fieldale.
