Information: Nelson Edward Bonar III, 53, of 2209 Fairfax St., died Monday morning at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Murraysville, Jackson County, a son of the late Nelson Edward and Ada Polk Bonar. He was a member of the Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Ravenswood High School and attended Marshall University. He was employed 23 years by the E. I. DuPont Co., and worked for Parkersburg Realty. He was a member of the Parkersburg Board of Realtors. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ann Flinn Bonar; two sons, Nelson Edward Bonar IV of Parkersburg and John Franklin Bonar at home; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Catherine Renea) Sandy of Route 2, Belleville, Mary Joanna and Sarah Jane Bonar, both at home; four brothers, Robert R. of Ravenswood, William P. of Parkersburg and Jackson W. of Tupelo, Miss., and Dr. Daniel D. Bonar of Denison University, Granville, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. William E. (Dorothy) Davis of Vienna; and two grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert P. Holland officiating. Pallbearers were members of the Parkersburg Realtors. Burial wll be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
