Information: Ruby Arlene Simmons, 73, of Route 1, Lowell, died Oct. 21, 1993 at her residence.  She was born in Cottageville, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ina A. Hughes Hartley.  She had lived in Lowell sinve 1948 and was a member of Highland Ridge Church of Christ.  Surviving are her husband, Howard T. Simmons, Sr.; one son, Howard T. Simmons, Jr. of Lowell; two daughters, Karen J. Landaker and Sandra F. Ruble, both of Lowell; one brother, Edward Hartley of Cottageville; one sister, Garnett Hunt of Lawton, Okla.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one step-great- grandchild.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Hoschar, and one grandson.  Services were held Sunday, Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, Lowell, the Rev. Virginia Fordham officiating.  Burial Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell.  Memorials preferred to the Lowell-Adams Fire and Rescue Squad, the Salem Township Squad or the Washington County Home Nursing Service and Hospice.
