  <p>Information: FORMER LOCAL WOMAN DEAD - Emily Simmons, 83 year old widow of the late Dr. George W. Simmons, died in Clearwater, Florida on Friday after a long illness.  She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Calvary United Methodist Church at Ripley.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lenore Jenkins of Clearwater; sisters, Mrs. Susie Winland of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Marjorie Parrish, Mrs. Anna Casto and Alma Parsons, all of Ripley and Mrs. Lexia Howe of Deberry Fla.; one brother, James Parsons of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, and three children.  The body was brought to the Vail Funeral Home Saturday.  Funeral services were held Sunday at the Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Mahoney and Rev. William Eaton officiating and the burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Kenna.</p>
