  <p>Information: RITES THURSDAY FOR DR. SIMMONS - Dr. Donald G. Simmons, 76, died at his home on Williams Ave., Ripley, Monday evening following an extended illness.  He was the son of the late Deverge N. and Lucy Greene Simmons.  A graduate of the University of Louisville in 1927, Dr. Simmons was a practicing dentist in Logan, West Virginia from 1928 until 1957.  He then established his home in Ripley, where he practiced dentistry until his retirement.  He was a member of the W. Va. Dental Association, having served as secretary and program chairman; was a member of the Kanawha Valley Dental Association and the American Dental Asssociation.  Survivors include his wife, Marie, and a brother, Dare of Ripley.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Arthur Morley officiating.  Burial will be in Grasslick Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.</p>
