  <p>Information: Ruby Shumate, 88, of Ravenswood went to be with the Lord on her birthday, September 3. 2011.  Surviving is her son, Michael Shumate and his wife Katie of Alma IL and Myron Shumate and his wife Jean of Ravenswood; daughter Donna Gentry and her husband Terry of Charleston; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1987, five sisters and a brother.  Funeral service was 2 pm Monday, September 5, Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood, with Dr. S. Richard Parsons, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood.  Friends visited the family at Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood, on Monday, September 5, from 12 to 2 pm.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston WV 25312-2536.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com. or on our website at www.joeroushfuneralhome.com.</p>
