  <p>Information: Darrell Wade Short, 29, of Vincent, OH, died Thursday morning at his parents home following a three-year battle with cancer.  He was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Rector of Ravenswood.  He was born in Zanesville, OH, a son of Allen N. and Nancy R. Short of Vincent.  He was a member of the Veto Presbyterian church and was educated in Keene, OH, and Warren Local School District.  He was an honor student and president of the senior class of 1977 at Warren Local high school.  He was active in student government, cross country and basketball.  He was an honor graduate of Ohio State University in 1981.  During his college years he was active in several social and business fraternities.  Following graduation he was employed by IBM Co., working in the Mansfield, OH office until his death.  In 1987 he was selected as the Regional Sales Representative of the Year for the Columbus area.  He is also survived by three brothers, Rodney Short of Decatur, IL, Andrew Short of Sandusky, OH, and Kenna Short of Columbus, OH; two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Services will be today at 2 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, OH, with the Rev. Robin Swinsburg officiating.  Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Washington County Cancer Society, Marietta, OH.</p>
