  <p>Information: Maudie Ethel Taylor Shockey, 86, of Ravenswood, died Thursday evening, April 30, 1987 in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Captain and Mary Meeker Taylor.  She was a member of the Kaiser-Douglas Church of Christ, Ravenswood, and was a homemaker.  She is survived by six sons, H. Lester Shockey and Robert D. ""Bob"" Shockey, both of Ravenswood, Clarence William ""Bill"" Shockey of Elizabeth, Cleon Shockey of Charleston, Glen A. Shockey of Parkersburg and Ivan E. Shockey of Ripley; one brother, Denzil Taylor of Ravenswood; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Gordon Shockey, in 1973; four brothers and two sisters.  Services were Sunday at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Donald Wright officiating.  Burial was in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
