  <p>Information: John D. Shockey, 83, of Vienna, died Monday evening at his home following an extended illness.  He was the brother of Carl A. Shockey and Stella Dale Palmer, both of Ravenswood.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Jake and Lucy Wright Shockey.  He retired in 1966 from the American Viscose Corporation following 32 years of service.  He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ, Vienna, for more than 50 years.  Additional survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helen Bunner Shockey; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl E. and Jo Shockey of Vienna; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the 36th Street Church of Christ, Vienna, with Tom D. Butterfield and Don Wright officiating.  Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Vaughn Funeral Home today all day and one hour prior to services at the church.</p>
