  <p>Information: Rome Shinn, 83, of Evans, died this morning at Eldercare Nursing Home, Ripley, after an extended illness.  He was born in Evans, August 3, 1909, a son of the late Austin A. Shinn and Addie Alberta Sayre Shinn.  He was a World War II veteran.  He was a member of the Masonice Lodge AF & AM, Ripley, #16, for the past 50 years.  He was employed in the parts department at Ripley garage for a number of years.  He was a retired rural mail carrier for the Evans route.  He is survived by three sisters, Pearl Shinn and Vinnie Schupp, both of Evans, and Verta Combs of Huntington.  Services will be Sunday, August 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery, near Evans, with Masonic graveside rites.  Friends may call 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Casto&#39;s Funeral Home.</p>
