Information: Park Wade Shinn, 85, of Mt. Alto, passed away Monday, March 10, 2008, at his home following an extended illness. He was born January 13, 1923, at Cottageville, a son of the late Dennie and Hallie Ankrum Shinn.  He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of the Laborers Union, Local #543, Huntington. He enjoyed gardening, camping and tinkering in his workshop. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.  Survivors include his sons Dennie Lee Shinn and wife Debby, Roger C. Shinn and wife Sheila and Marty R. Shinn and wife Patricia all of Mt. Alto; daughter Angela Taylor and husband Terry of Mt. Alto; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Snyder Shinn, brother William ""Bill"" Shinn and sister Irene Withrow.  Service at Casto Funeral Home, Evans and burial at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.
