  <p>Information: EVANS-Howard Terrill Shinn, 72, of Evans, WV, departed this life, April 11, 1997 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, following an extended illness.  He was born June 29, 1924 at Evans, a son of the late Paul J. and Artie Wilson Shinn.  He was a WWII Army veteran, a retired operating engineer, a member of the Operating Engineers Union, a member of the Jackson County Amateur Radio Club, a member of the VFW, Ripley, WV and he was a protestant.  Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Eva June Parsons Shinn; sons, Terry Shinn of Marshall, NC and Frank Shinn of Powell&#39;s Point, NC; daugther, Dianna Berry of Parkersburg; sister, Pauline Smith of Washington, WV; 7 grandchildren; 1 foster grandchild.  Service was held Monday, April 14 2:00 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home Evans with the Rev. Ed Taylor officiating.  Burial was in the Otterbein Cemetery.</p>
