Information: Mrs. Amos. W. Boice, 68 year old wife of Amos Boice, well known farmer of Sycamore, died at 12:30 Friday morning following an illness of considerable length which was caused by heart disease, members of the family said. She had been seriously ill for several days and death was expected. The funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon with Rev. Fred Slaughter in charge and burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery at Ripley. Lottie Elizabeth Landfried was born March 16, 1868 and departed this life October 22, 1936, age 68 years, 7 months and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Amos Boice on January 30, 1888 and to this union two children were born, Oscar Boice and Georgia Boice Sheppard. She leaves to mourn their loss, the husband; two grandsons, Harry and Robert Sheppard; three brothers, James, John and Adam Landfried; one sister;. J. F. Carney of Ripley and Rudy Boice, a realtive who had lived with the family for some time.. A granddaughter, Ruth Elizabeth Sheppard, preceded her in death; also five brothers, William, Asberry, George, Jacob and Charles Landfried. She accepted Christ when but a young girl and although her health did not always permit her attendance at church, she was always interested in it's welfare. She has a host of friends who mourn her death, as she was kind and affectionate to everyone who knew her. In her passing the family has lost a loving wife and mother, the community a most loveable and helpful woman.
