  <p>Information:                 Melvina A. Barker Shimp, daughter of John W. and Susan Barker, was born near Caldwell, Nobel Co., Ohio, December 16, 1873, and departed this life November 7, 1949 at her home at Liverpool, WV, age 76 years, 10 months and 22 days.  She was married to Simon A. Shimp of Middle Creek, Ohio, August 14, 1894, and to this union were born three sons and one daughter:  C. F. Shimp, E. O. Shimp and Mrs. Clara O. Gray, all of Liverpool, and Theodore Larkin Shimp, who preceded her in death in 1928.  Her husband passed away in 1940.  She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Clara Lindamood of Los Angeles, Calif. and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was a life long member of the Methodist church.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)     </p>
