  <p>Information: Brooks Eugene Shappard, 92, of Ravenswood WV, passed away April 1, 2015 in Huntington WV.  He was born July 12, 1922 in Wood County WV to Pearl and Almeda Conger Sheppard.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son.  He was a proud World War II veteran, where he served in the U.S. Army as a medical technician in the Philippines. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood.  He was an avid gardener and fiddle player and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Ravenswood.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Bogard Sheppard, Ravenswood; sons, Larry Sheppard, Ravenswood, Bill (Jamie) Sheppard, Ravenswood, and Kip Sheppard, NC; daughter, Mary Ellen (Bill) Bush, ALA; sister, Nina (Don) Pursley, Sandyville; brother, Harlan (Thelma) Sheppard, Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Sheppard; sisters, Freda Hudson, Kathleen Burchard, Opal Williams, and Beulah Whaley; and son, Jeff Sheppard.  Services will be held (today) Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:30 am at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood WV, with Pastor David Johnston officiating.  Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home today from 10 to 11:30 am.</p>
