Information: 08/09/1940 Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Shenefield, wife of Bert Shenefield, of Sandyville, were held from the Independence Church Saturday afternoon and burial was in the cemetery nearby.  Mrs. Shenefield died in the St. Joseph's Hospital at Parkersburg at 8 o'clock Thursday morning after a brief illness.  She is survived by the husband, three daughters, Earnestine Shenefield, at home; Evelyn Shenefield, of Ripley; Mrs. Lawrence (Pauline) Tatterson, of Glasgow; two sons, Carl Shenefield, of Sandyville, and Clyde Shenefield, of New Cumberland; her mother, Mrs. Bell Carmichael, of Sandyville; five granddaughters; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Wiseman, of Sandyville; Mrs. Dessie Boso, of Parkersburg; Mrs. Ida Stanley, of Ravenswood; and Mrs. Mabel Kibble, of Sandyville; five brothers, Fred Carmichael, of Silverton; Ferguson and Harvey Carmichael, of Sandyville; Everett Carmichael, of Canton, Ohio, and Roy Carmichael, of Wellsville, Ohio.  Lawrence M. Ford, Crow Summitt Funeral Director, had charge of the arrangements for the funeral and burial.   08/23/1940 Edna Ellen Carmichael Shenefield, the daughter of Bell and the late Milton Carmichael, was born 28 March 1885, departed this life Aug 1, 1940.  She was united in marriage to M.B. Shenefield Jan 28, 1905.
