Information: William Wade Shatto, 78, of Ripley, died Nov. 24, 1987, in Marietta (Ohio) Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Robert and Mary Rhodes Shatto.  He was a retired gas well worker and a veteran of World War II.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Shatto; and several nieces and nephews.  Services were Wednesday at Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, with the Rev. Glen Matthews officiating.  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Jackson County.
