  <p>Information: Gene Franklin Shamblin, 76, of Ripley, passed away October 29, 2014 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born May 3, 1938 at Romance WV, a son of the late Johnny and Daisy Parsons Shamblin.  He worked in the paving industry and retired from Pavex Corporation in Florida with 43 years of service.  During that time he worked in West Virginia, North Carolina and Florida.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Shamblin, a daughter, Kim Wright, and a sister, Carolyn Tribble.  He is survived by his wife, Frankie Johnson Shamblin; daughter-in-law, Vicki Shamblin of Parkersburg; son-in-law, Burl Wright of Parkersburg; brothers, Billie (Myrtle) Shamblin and Ronald (Deloris) Shamblin; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa), Josh (Anna), Matt (Cassandra), Courtney (Shawn), Andy (Tracy), and Veronica.  Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.  Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. (today) Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Herman Robinson officiating.  Burial will be in the Shamblin Cemetery, Romance.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com.</p>
