Information: Paul Shamblen was born April 2, 1904, and departed this life Jan.1, 1922, aged 17 years, 8 months and 29 days.  He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. George Shamblen. Three little sisters, preceded him to the Great Beyond.  He leaves to mourn his loss, father and mother and the following brothers and sisters: Holly, Clayton, Thomas, John, Mrs. Lloyd Kay, Tennie, Dollie and Margaret, and a host of relatives and friends.  Paul was converted during the meeting held at Mt. Moriah this winter.  He was one of the charter members of the Young Peoples Christian Endeavor at Mt. Moriah.  He was known by all his friends as a kind, honest and industrious young man.  Weep not father, mother, brothers and sisters, for Paul has crossed over the river to be with Jesus and the loved ones who have gone before to the better world.  The funeral was held at Mt. Moriah Tuesday by Rev. A.M. Payne and his remains interred in the cemetery near by. (Obiturary provided through the Betty Kessel McIntyre and Clement Matheny collection).
