Information: Francis Warren Shamblen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Shamblen, of Kenna, died Friday, October 19, at 10 a.m. of infantile paralysis, after an illness of only a few days.  Warren, who was about 22 years of age, after teaching two or three terms of school , entered Fairmont Normal and was in his senior year.  He had the honor of being elected president of his class last year.  He was intelligent, amiable and industrious and was held in high esteem by all his associates and acquaintances.  His only brother, Ottie, died about sixteen years ago of fever, which he contracted while a student of Marshall college.  Mr. Shamblen received a telephone message from Fairmont Wednesday telling of his son's sickness and left Thursday, reaching his bedside the night before his death.  The remains arrived here Saturday evening and were taken to his home where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. A. Blagg of Cottageville.  The distracted father and mother have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in the hour of their sad bereavement.
