Information: George See, aged 77, and the father of T. N. See, Cottageville merchant, died on Monday night of this week about 8 o'clock at his home on Leon, RFD, the cause of the death, according to members of the  family, being a heart attack.  His condition had been critical for a week.  Two weeks ago last Sunday, members of the family and a large number of friends gathered at the See home, on what is known as Poplar, to help Mr. and Mrs. See celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.  Mr. See was ill at the time but it was thought that he might recover his health.  He was one of the well known farmers of that section, was a Methodist, and an outstanding citizen and his many friends were shocked Monday night when they learned of his death.  He is survived by the widow and the following children, T. N. See, of Cottageville; Mrs. Maggie Smith, of Leon; Ms. Lizzie Combs, of Dunbar; Mrs. Isel Moore, of Cottageville; and Mrs. Iva Durst, at whose home he died.  Two brothers, William and Robert See, both of Pt. Pleasant; four sisters, Mrs. E. O. Buckalew, of Point Pleasant; Mrs. ..........(un-readable), of Middleport; Mrs. Mary Buckalew, of Huntington, and Mrs. Will Sayre, of Evans, also survive.  The funeral services were held at the Smith Chapel, on Poplar, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock under the directions of the pastor of the church, Rev. Johnson, and burial was in the cemetery there.  [from the Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
