Information: Wilmer E. Sayre, 67, of Evans, died Saturday evening at his home following an apparent heart attack.  Born at Evans, he was a son of Mrs. Mary Jane Stewart Sayre Casto of Parkersburg and the late Elmer Sayre.  A retired farmer, he was a member of Ripley IOOF Lodge No. 30.  He was preceded in death in 1962 by his first wife, Mrs. Dorcas Hill Sayre, and one daughter, Elizabeth King, in 1961.  Survivors in addition to his mother include his second wife, Mrs. Alma Casto Sayre; two sons, Paige Sayre of Cottageville and Wilmer J. Sayre of Charleston; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Hunt of Evans; and two step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Lockhart and Mrs. Janet Skeens, both of Grundy, Va.; one brother, Stewart Sayre of Evans; and two sisters, Mrs. Opal Reynolds of Fairplain and Mrs. Willard Casto of Given; and five grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with the Rev. Earl Gum and the Rev. Armor Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Otterbein cemetery.  The Casto funeral directors were in charge.
