  <p>Information:        Funeral services for William C. Sayre, 83 year old farmer of Evans, who died at his home there of Friday after being in failing health for some time, were held from the Evans Methodist Church Monday afternoon with Rev. Nuzum officiating and the body was taken to the Blaine Memorial Cemetery at Cottageville for burial.  He married Ruth See, born 25 July 1854, died 22 June 1945.  Mr. Sayre was born at Evans July 6, 1865 a son of Ichabod Bird and Minerva See Sayre.  He spent his full life in that vicinity where he was engaged in farming.  The survivors include a son, Otmer F. Sayre of Evans, and two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Schnelle of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Gertrude Day of Miami, Florida, and two grandsons, Everett Sayre of Evans and William J. Sayre of Chicago, Illinois, and two great-granddaughters.  His only granddaughter, Kathryn Run Pendergast, preceded him in death a few years ago.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)     </p>
