Information: William Sayre of New Brighton, died at that place and was brought to Ravenswood Sunday where funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will McKelvey, conducted by Rev. S. E. Jones.  Mr. Sayre formerly lived in this county and was well known to many of our citizens.  He was born Nov. 1, 1837.  He is survived by his widow and eight children.  The widow and three sons, Win, John and Donald, came down with the body.  Deceased had been a member of the M. E. Church since he was about 20 years of age and was a sincere Christian man, absolutely honest and was always well respected.  (from Ravenswood News)
