Obituary Date: 1918-01-11

Information: William Sayre died at the ""Sayre Farm"" just below town, Thursday evening, January 3, at 6:00 p.m., after a lingering illness of several months with dropsey.  Mr. Sayre was a son of Joel and Amelia Sayre and was born August 5, 1838 on the farm where he has always resided. He was never married and since the death of his parents he has always made his home with his brother, Charles.  The funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the home, conducted by Rev. Cochrane of the M.E. church, South.  Interment was made in the King cemetery.   (copied by Ada Ruth Sayre)
