Information: IN MEMORIAM - Susie Love Sayre, daughter of M. A. and Letha Pinnell, was born September 5, 1902, and departed this life October 31, 1927, aged 25 years, 1 month, and 15 days. On August 27, 1922, she was united in marriage with Fred B. Sayre and to this union was born a son who preceded her to the Great Beyond. In early life, Mrs. Sayre sought and found her Savior who from that time on was her Guiding Star, and she ever lived a consistent Christian life. After moving to Ripley, she affiliated with the United Brethren Church and as a member thereof took an active part in all of its affairs. She belonged to the Excelsior Class of the Sunday School and to the Ladies' Aid and will be greatly missed in both organizations. Mrs. Sayre was an active member of the Ripley Chapter of the order of Eastern Star, and during the four years of her membership in the order has held two offices. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Valley Freeman of Ripley; one brother, George Pinnell of Bidwell, Ohio; a half sister, Mrs. Leona Casto, and by a sorrowing husband, all of whom will miss her gentle voice and pleasant smile. The father and another brother passed away many years ago, but the kind, loving mother was her bosom companion until last September when she answered the summons.-------------A lifelong friend, Anna Sayre.
