Information: Oscar Sayre, son of David and Marthena Hill Sayre, was born in Jackson County, May 5, 1856 and died September 5, 1942, aged 86 years, four months.  On January 23, 1879, he was married to Eliza Jane King and to this union were born ten children, two of which died in infancy.  Surviving him are the following children:  A. W. Sayre of Akron, Ohio, S. V. Sayre of Cheshire, Ohio, E. F. Sayre ------was known by many as ""Uncle Oscar"".  At the time of his marriage, he came to live at Angerona.
