Information: W. French Boggess, 82, former Jackson County prosecuting attorney, died yesterday in the Summersville Convalescent Hospital following an extended illness. Born at Liverpool, Jackson County, he was a son of the late Perry A. and Ida Hartley Boggess. Mr. Boggess had been a practicing attorney in Ripley for 54 years and was a former teacher in the county, former chairman of the Jackson County Republican Executive Committee and was a former attorney for the West Virginia Blue Sky Department. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Boggess; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Browning of Huntington and Mrs. Pearl Plymell of Charleston; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Vail Funeral Home at Ripley with the Rev. Roy McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery there. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today
