Information: Lora Margaret Sayre was born August 25, 1892 and departed this life October 22, 1968 at the age of 76 years 1 month and 27 days.  She was united in marriage to Virgil Delbert Sayre on August 25, 1912, and to this union were born seven children, three of whom preceded her in death.  Survivors include three sons, Arnold, Cletis and Ledford, all of Evans; one daughter, Mrs. Ardella Click of Cottageville; two brothers, Jesse Fox of Dunbar and  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.  At the age of thirtenn she joined the Long Bottom Methodist Church.  She lived a true and faithful life until the end.  The following poem, ""The Watcher"" by Margaret Widdemer is in rememberance of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  ""She always leaned to watch for us, Anxious if we were late In winter by the window In summer by the gate And though we mocked her tenderly Who had such foolish care The long way home would seem more safe Because she waited there Her thoughts were all so full of us She never could forget And so I think that where she is She must be watching yet.  Waiting til we come home to her Anxious if we are late Watching from Heaven's window Leaning from Heaven's Gate.
