Information: Lawrence E. ""Fuzzy - The Train Man"" Sayre, 69, of St. Albans, departed this life at home and entered into rest Friday, April 4, 2003, after a very strong and courageous 31-month battle with complications caused from gall bladder surgery.  Lawrence was the 13th child, born on May 31, 1933, to the late Isaac Allen and Anna May Sayre of Cottageville, Jackson County.  He was a 1951 graduate of Nitro High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War, a retired sheet metal worker from Local Union 33 with 51 years' service, Boy Scout leader and volunteer (Troop 75), member of Malden Motorcycle Club, member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, treasurer of St. Albans Municipal Utility Commission, appointed in 1996, in which he was responsible for the design and implementation and coordination of the upgrade of the waste water treatment facility.      His wife, Patricia Jean Sayre, survives Lawrence. His children include, Larry A. Sayre of Vacaville, Calif., Julie and Richard Byrd of Chesapeake, Va., Penny and Shawn ""Tut"" Tuthill of Mechanicsville, Va., Lawrence, Jr. and Samantha Sayre of Nitro, Clayton and Lisa Sayre of Portsmouth, Va., Jimmy and Kathryn Sayre of Sissonville.  Brothers and sisters include, Frank and Ada Ruth Sayre of Charleston, Pauline Barnette of Melbourne, Fla., Jean and Herschell Winter of Nitro, Maxine and Sebert Witt of Red House, Donald and Jean Sayre of Eleanor.  Ten grandchildren survive, including, Richard, Megan and Rob Byrd of Chesapeake, Va., Shawn and Robert Tuthill of Mechanicsville, Va., Lawrence E. Sayre III of Nitro, Logan, Connor and Brandon Sayre of Portsmouth, Va., Kristen Jean Sayre of Sissonville.       A very big and special ""Thank you"" goes out to Teresa ""Terry"" Bulriss, home health nurse, Dr. V. B. Lakhani, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, St. Andrew United Methodist Church staff and members, family and friends, ""who all fought very hard to heal Lawrence.""  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, St. Albans, with the Revs. Loretta and Ravi Isaiah officiating.  Burial with graveside services will be held at a later date at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans WV 25177.  Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
