Information: Lance F. ""Buck"" Sayre, Jr., 58, of Akron, formerly of Jackson County, died Nov. 3, 1994, at his residence after a brief illness.  He was born in Angerona, WV, a son of Mittie Scarberry of Akron and the late Lance Sayre, Sr.  He was a former employee of the Kroger Co. with 28 years of service.  He was a member of the Kroger Baseball Team.  He was recently employed by Pinkerton Security in Akron and was an avid outdoorsman.  Surviving are two sisters, Jean Sayre of Akron and Maxine Shinn of Mount Alto.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Sayre.  Services were held Monday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Otterbein Cemetery.
