  <p>Information: Henry Elmer Sayre, 89, of Cottageville, died Friday, Sept. 9, 1989, in Eastern Maine Medical Hospital in Bangor, Maine, following a short illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late McComas and Nora Love Sayre.  He was a lifelong farmer.  He is survived by two sons, Thornton Sayre of Milo, Maine and Waldo Sayre of Toledo, Ohio; four daughters, Ida Livingston of Coolville, Chloe Sharp of Galloway, Ohio, Betty Jean Newell of New Haven, and Macil Hoschar of Cottageville; one brother, R. O. ""Sam"" Sayre of Evans; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were Tuesday at the Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial followed in the Otterbein Cemetery.</p>
