Information:       Boggess Dies at Goldtown.  Long Illness Is Fatal To Story Boggess.  Funeral services were held for Story Boggess, 53, years old, at his home near Goldtown Friday morning at ten-thirty o'clock and burial was in the family cemetery on his farm.  Mr. Boggess died on Wednesday after a long illness.  He was one of the leading farmers in that section of the county and relatives and members of his family had known for some time that he could not recover from his illness and death was expected.  A few years ago tragedy struck swiftly at the family of Mr. Boggess and from that day on his health began to fail, members of the family said.  One of the sons was killed in an automobile accident at Pocataligo and then within a few months three small sons who were walking along the Ripley-Charleston highway near the Boggess home were struck by a truck and all three were killed.  Actives pall bearers at the funeral were Roy Pfost, Dennie and Darrow Anderson, Tell Boggess, Dempsey Miller and Oshel Koontz.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Virgie Boggess; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Milam of Dunbar, and Misses Lakie and Thelma Boggess at home, and four sons, Ralph and Thaddeous Boggess of Chandler's Branch, and Thurmond and Denver Boggess both at home.    NOTE:  Mr. Boggess was born May 29, 1886, a son of Clark and Amanda Alafair Harrison Boggess.  He married Virginia ""Virgie"" Ann Thomas on January 22, 1908.  Mr. was 53y, 2m, 4d at the time of his death.
