Information: LEON - Gaylord Francis Sayre, 71, of Leon, departed this life Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born August 6, 1935, a son of the late Ruby Ellen Sayre Mazzoki.  He was a retired pipe fitter from FMC, South Charleston and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union.  Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Elsie Ann McDade Sayre; sons, Joseph Sayre and wife Mignon of Plantersville TX and Robert Sayre and wife Kimberly of Magnolia TX; daughters, Ruby Wolfe and husband Dennis of Groveport OH, Sheila Washington and husband David of Pt. Pleasant, Mary Matthews of Hawley TX and Kelly Donohew and husband Dennis of Sandyville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and foster sister, Marlene Ebert and husband Jim of Grove City OH.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harley and Estella May Sayre, and an infant granddaughter.  Services will be held tomorrow, January 5, 2007, at 1 pm at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery, Evans.  Visitation will be held today, January 4, 2007, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to castofuneralhome@citynet.net.
