Information: SAYRE BURIAL AT OTTERBEIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Frankie Sayre, 57, wife of Ephriam Sayre of Evans, were held from the Otterbein church there on Sunday afternoon with the Rev. I. J. McCollum and Rev. Armour Sayre officiating and the burial was in the Otterbein cemetery. The Vail undertakers were in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Sayre died at her home on Friday following a stroke which she suffered on Wednesday. She was a daughter of the late Colonel and Ruth Bennett Ayres and was born at Evans on October 4, 1894. She had been a member of the Otterbein E.U.B. church for the past 25 years. On March 24, 1918 she married Mr. Sayre, who survives with the following children; two sons, Walter of Cleveland and Carl Lee with the U.S. Air Force in Texas; two daughters, Miss Helen Sayre of Cleveland and Mrs. Elmer Needs of Northfield, Ohio; three brothers, Sam, Earl and Everett Ayres, all of Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Johnson of Cleveland and Mrs. Arthur Stewart of Racine, Ohio and two grandchildren.
