  <p>Information:                      Death came to Enoch J. Sayre, 81 year old farmer of the Evans Community at his home there on Sunday after an illness of several weeks.  He had been a patient a short time ago in a Parkersburg hospital but had been brought back to his home several weeks ago.  Mr. Sayre was born at Rockcastle on March 14, 1868, a son of John W. and Nora (Brown) Sayre.  He engaged in farming all his life.  He was a member of the United Brethren Church at Otterbein, where funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. I. J. McCollum officiating and the burial was in the church cemetery.  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Reynolds Sayre, and two sons, Fred B. Sayre and Orville Sayre, both widely known automobile dealers of Ripley.  One son preceded the father in death.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)</p>
