Information: Della Edward ""Dick"" Sayre, 78, of 125 Flagrock Road, Evans, died Wednesday at his home following a long illness.  He was born in Evans, a son of the late McComas and Nora Love Sayre.  He was a framer and an employee of Rhodes Hatchery of Ripley for 33 years.  He had worked for the Southern States Co-Op.  He is survived by his wife, Orva Phillips Sayre; two stepsons, Carl Thomas of Ripley and John Thomas of Given; three stepdaughters, Alice Grady of Sandyville, July Bowling of Cleveland, Va., Linda Hill of Evans; three brothers, Henry Sayre of Cottageville, George Sayre and R. O. ""Sam"" Sayre, both of Evans; and 10 stepgrandchildren.  Service was Saturday at the Longview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Armor Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Longview Cemetery.  Casto Funeral Home, Evans, was in charge of arrangements.
