Information: RUFUS C. BOGGESS DIES AT HOSPITAL - Rufus Clemet Boggess, 68, Sandyville, died Tuesday afternoon at Holzer hospital in Gallipolis. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War 1 and a member of VFW Post 3488 at Sandyville. Born Aug. 4, 1893, in Jackson county, he spent most of his life in the Sandyville area. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Hutchinson Boggess; two children, Mrs. H. L. Sheppard and Clay Boggess, Sandyville; three brothers, Clifton Boggess, Sandyville, Wesley and James Boggess, Chillicothe, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley Whetstone, Chillicothe, and Mrs. T. W. Wilson, Aliquippa, Pa.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Meadowdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Vairl C. Winter officiating, and burial was in the church cemetery in charge was the Chambers Funeral Home.
