  <p>Information: B. D. SAYRE DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS - Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, for Byron Darrell Sayre, 63, of Sandyville, who died Tuesday following a long illness.  He was a retiree of Columbia Gas Company, having served 32 years with the company before retiring in 1972.  He was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church, Ashton Lodge No. 12 AF & AM, and Jackson Chapter No. 48 R.A.M.  He was born Oct. 26, 1911, at Angerona, the son of Cora Ethel Skidmore Sayre, presently of Sandyville, and the late Jessie Wade Sayre.  Additional survivors include his wife, Velma; one son, Keith Sayre of Sandyville; two brothers, J. Wade Sayre, Los Angeles, Calif., James Otis Sayre, Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Audrey Somerville, Glenville, Mrs. Helen Waybright, Sandyville; three grandchildren.  The Rev. Russell Crawford will officiate at the service with burial in Independence Cemetery.</p>
