  <p>Information: PORTLAND-David Jesse Sayer, 57, of Portland died February 27, 1998, in Ohio State University Hospital,Columbus.  He was an auto mechanic, a Baptist and owner/operator of the Velvet Hammer, Ravenswood, W.Va.    Surviving:  wife, Gwendlyn Sayer; daughters, Janet Marie Sayer, Faith Spece, Angela Sayer, Audrey Tallman and Brenda Stier, all of Ravenswood, Leslie Sayer of Elkhart, Ind.; mother, Laura Sayer of Clendenin, W. Va.; brothers: Ohley of Ravenswood, Joe of Racine, James of Seville, Basil of Westlake, Randall of Cleveland; sisters, Garnet Taylor, Mary Jones, and Wanda Waldon, all of Clendenin, W. Va., Mavis Posa of Cuyahoga Falls; seven grandchildren.    Service will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview, W. Va. with the Rev. Jack Gwinn officiating.  Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, and one hour prior to service at Hafer Funeral Home.</p>
