  <p>Information:   Willliam Thurston Sargent, 79, Rockcastle, died last Wednesday at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness.      Sargent was born in Jackson County, a son of the late John Andrew and Hanna Carney Sargent.  He was a farmer and a member of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church at Rockcastle where he was a trustee.      Surviving are his wife, Grey Bailey Sargent; eight sons, Thurston Sargent Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, James Lee of Ripley, John Alfred of Buffalo, Delmas Gilbert of Columbus, Ohio, Thermond Dewight of Leon, Herman Dale of Columbus, Ohio Tracy Clifford of Grove City, Ohio, Charles Frederick of Leon; three daughters, Miss Dorothy Jean Sargent of Ripley, Mrs. Katherine Frances Durst of Leon and Mrs. Patty Ann Smith of Red House; a brother, Wilmer of Dunbar; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Casto of Given, Mrs. Iva Casto of Given, and Mrs. Josephine Munday of Dunbar; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.      Services were held Friday at Moss Chapel Church in Putnam County with burial in the church cemetery.      Parsons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.</p>
