  <p>Information: SERGENT RITES HELD ON MONDAY - William C. Sargent, 84, died Friday following an extended illness.  He was born in Jackson county, May 22, 1879, the son of the late Thomas and Magdalene Smith Sargent.  He was a retired farmer of Jackson county, and had resided in Parkersburg for the past four years.  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Sargent; three daughters, Mrs. Dora Clem, Sherman, Mrs. Inez Dotson, Parkersburg, and Mrs. Mildred Balsh, Parkersburg; one son, William R. Sargent, Parkersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Leota Kennedy, Spencer, Mrs. Gertrude Hardman, East Liverpool, Ohio, and Mrs. Ethel Newberry, Parkersburg; five brothers, Lloyd Sargent, Parkersburg, Furman Sargent, Belpre, Floyd Sargent, East Liverpool, Nolan Sargent, Indian Head, Md., and Charles Sargent, Hammond, Ind.; five grandchildren two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.</p>
