  <p>Information: Thomas F. Sargent, 79, of Belpre, Ohio, died Saturday morning at Selby General Hospital, Marietta, Ohio, following an extended illness. He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Thomas and Magdeline Smith Sargent.  He moved to Belpre in 1935.  He was a member of the Belpre IOOF Lodge and was retired from Union Carbide Metals after 13 years of service.  He is survived by four sons, Daryl of Layman, Ohio, Doyle (Bud) of Cutler, Ohio, Charles of Tuppers Plains, and Denzil of Belpre, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Sargent of Hammond, IN, and Lloyd Sargent of Parkersburg; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bay Wilson Sargent, in 1978; two daughters, four brothers, six sisters and one grandchild.  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Spencer Funeral Home, Belpre, with the Rev. Walter A. Frost officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Parkersburg.</p>
