Information: Sargent, Cleatice Emily Barnett                 Funeral services for Mrs. Cleatice Emily Barnett Sargent, 18 years old, were held from the Mt. Olive Church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. Zeigler in charge and the burial was in the church cemetery.  She was born 23 Oct. 1931, died April 17, 1949, age 17 years, 5 months and 25 days.  Mrs. Sargent died Sunday at the home of her parents, McKinley and Lottie Sayre Barnett of Rockcastle, after a short illness.  She was an honor student at Pt. Pleasant High School, class of 1947, and later attended Marshall College at Huntington where she was ranked high in scholastic attainments.  On 14 August 1948 she married James Leo Sargent.  Surviving are her husband, James Leo Sargent, son of W. T. and Gray Sargent; her parents, McKinley and Lottie Sayre Barnett; two brothers, McKinley Grant Barnett and James Henry Barnett, at home, and her grandfather, Grant Sayre of Arbuckle.  One sister, Clarice Eulah Barnett, preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1934.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
