Information: Colleen Mary Jessie Samson, 75, of Ripley, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Jackson General Hospital. She was born March 25, 1928, in Buckfastleigh Devon, England, a daughter of the late Edward and Jessie Wood Tucker. She was a very active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, a member of the Opus Club of Moundsville, sang with the Wheeling Symphony, was a past choir director of St. John's Episcopal Church and a past president of St. John's Episcopal Church Women. She was a member of the Ripley Order of Eastern Star and Kith N Hills Theatre. She is survived by her husband, John Samson of Ripley; sons, Carlton Robertson and wife, Glenna, of Rockingham NC, Philip Patterson of Weston, Mike Samson and wife, Carol, of Parkersburg, and Larry Samson of Las Vegas NV; daughters, Elizabeth Rinehart and husband, Bob, of Weston, and Debbie Sarmiento of Las Vegas NV; brothers, Edward Tucker and wife, Cathy, of Buckhannon, Alan Tucker and wife, Liva, of Fairfax VA and Derek Tucker of New Jersey; sisters, Doreen Cain and husband, Bill, of New Martinsville and Ann Tucker of Newton Abbott, Devon, England; sisters-in-law, Pat Tarasevich of Connecticut, Ethel Moskoluk of Buffalo NY, Lena Gulych of Montreal, Canada and Rose Glenn of Canterbury FL; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Tucker and sister-in-law, Mary. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Ripley, with Dr. Ken Krimmel officiating. Burial in the Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville.
