  <p>Information: Stella Rhodes Sams, 43, of Ravenswood, died Sept. 28, 1987, in St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital, Parkersburg, following a short illness.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Norris and Bertha Mullenix Rhodes.  He was a homemaker and attended the Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood.  She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Franklin Sams; one daughter, Joyce Mahan of Ravenswood; two sons, Richard Williams and Harold Garnes, both at home; three grandchildren; one sister, Della Tennant of Parkersburg; four brothers, Robert Rhodes of Lima, Ohio, Roy Rhodes of Parkersburg, Ray Rhodes of Silverton and Follie Rhodes of New England.  Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Paul Morrison officiating.  Burial will be in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.  Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.</p>
